R.I.P. iPod

According to CNN, in 2005, an Apple iPod was sold every two seconds! Last week, Apple officially discontinue it's revolutionary product. If you think about it, until the iPod came out, many if not most people largely used CDs for their music. Makes sense though, the "iPod" feature is on pretty much every devise in the world now. I got a new car last year and it was the first car I ever bought that did not include a CD player, laptops don't feature CD slots anymore, etc.

Apple says that while they won't make anymore iPods, people will still be able to purchase them from retailers while their supplies last, which likely means they'll get pretty expensive again because just like old baseball cards, once they're harder to buy, they become more valuable!

I found this video of Apple CEO Steve Jobs doing one of his famous product introdctions...in 2001, introducing the iPod.
