Donnie Wahlberg consoled a young New Kids on the Block fan from Weymouth after the boy had a souvenir t-shirt stolen out of his hands after the group's concert at Fenway Park over the weekend.

NBC Boston shared a video of Wahlberg addressing Connor Stuart, telling the 11-year-old he and the other NKOTB members were "putting a special care package together" for the boy.

“I heard about what happened. I’m very sorry,” Wahlberg said in the video. “But I also want to let you know that me and the guys are putting a special care package together for you.”

The shirt was sentimental to Connor, whose father used to play the band's music prior to his death.

Wahlberg offered his sympathy to the boy after his Connor's sister, Caitlin, wrote in a social media post that a woman stole the shirt out of the 11-year-old hands while he was walking to an MBTA station with his family after the concert.

NKOTB's "Blockheads" fan base reached out to the family with overwhelming support sharing numerous messages online after the post went viral.

Wahlberg said he wants to meet the boy next time he's in Boston and promised to send some extra-special souvenirs on behalf of the band.

"It just kind of restores your faith that there are good people out there," said Connor's mother, Sheri Stuart, in response to Wahlberg's kind deed.
