A father heroically jumped overboard to save his daughter after she fell from the Disney Dream cruise ship on Sunday (June 29). The incident occurred as the ship was returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from a four-night cruise to the Bahamas. The young girl fell from the fourth deck, prompting her father to leap into the ocean after her.
The Disney Dream's crew quickly responded, deploying a rescue boat and life preservers. Both the father and daughter were safely returned to the ship within minutes. Passengers reported hearing a "man overboard" alert over the ship's intercom, which initiated the swift rescue operation.
A spokesperson for Disney Cruise Line commended the crew's quick actions, stating, "We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols."
