Have you seen the new State of Email Security Report? Every year, this comes out with the latest stats on email security.
Here’s the biggest stat in there: phishing emails increased by 569% in 2022! Those are the scam e-mails with dangerous links that pose as a legit business e-mail. This is such a huge deal, we actually have someone here at iHeart with the title Chief Information Security Officer. You know what they do? Every week or so, they send all employees one of these phishing e-mails! And I don’t mean they show one to us. They actually send it...pretending to be someone else! Then they wait for us to click the links. It’s crazy! A couple days later, we'll get another message saying “did you fall for it?”
